DEALING WITH PSORIASIS THROUGH LIFESTYLE AND DIETARY MODIFICATIONS

Mrs Ajetumobi noticed a cluster of dark plaques on her knees and thighs. She examined them properly and discovered that they were growing in quantity. She became terrified. She went to her bedside drawer, brought out an ointment and applied it to the affected sites. Few days later, she noticed that there was no improvement. She decided to see a dermatologist.

'Good evening ma, how may I help you?' The doctor asked.

'Good evening, doctor. I have been having this plaques and rashes on my knees and thighs for some weeks now. They are scaly, itchy, and sometimes painful. It's so discomforting' She raised her long gown to the level of her thighs and showed the doctor the affected site. The doctor examined it carefully, pressing on it gently.

'Alright ma. You can drop your gown. Did you change your cream or soap within the last few months?' The doctor asked while writing on a notepad

'No, I didn't. Though, my skin is sensitive, and I have skin reactions sometimes'

'Alright. You have psoriasis. I have written some medications including creams and soap that would help. However, I will give you the contact of healthyish, a health and lifestyle coach, who will guide your way the dietary and lifestyle changes you need to incorporate to help you' The doctor handed her a note.
